Grandy Cayman or Mayan Riviera???
Has anyone been to both of these places and can compare the pros and
cons of each? More specifically, we're looking at Caribbean Club on 7 Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, or one of the all-inclusives (one of the Palaces resorts, Paradisus Riviera Cancun, Cameleon Marival, Reef Playacar, etc) in Mayan. We definitely want a NICE beach (as my post below suggests) and some activities, but mostly just a place to relax with few if any kids (we're leaving ours at home!) Thanks! |

Have never been to Grand Cayman, but we are returning later this month to Barcelo Riviera Maya. Great rooms, service, food/drink and a wonderful beach. Check it out at www.unofficial-Barcelo-maya.com. Have a great vacation wherever you go. Gerry Has anyone been to both of these places and can compare the pros and cons of each? Thanks! 7 Mile Beach has got to be one of the most beautiful beachs around, especially so as you travel northwards, with crystal clear calm blue water and very quiet at most times of the year. I would rate it overall better than the Mayan Riviera beaches - which are really quite nice in their own right. I used to go there regularly before it became a "riviera". The problem, for most of us, with Grand Cayman in general is $$$$! I've gone back now 5 years in a row - I don't know if I can afford it this year.....what am I gonna do?! (If I won the Lottery, I would buy a condo on SMB - of course, I'd need at least 2 mill to get something nice!) |
