That 'panacea" of Socialized medicine in Sweden

"While Sweden has long taken pride in its public healthcare system,
lengthening queues and at times inconsistent care have prompted many
Swedes to opt for private healthcare with many gaining the benefit
through insurance policies offered by employers, currently responsible
for 80 percent of healthcare insurance market.

The idea behind private health insurance is simple enough: those put
off by the idea of heading to publicly funded clinics and hospitals
can purchase a policy through an insurance company and instead enjoy
speedy medical attention with private doctors....."

google: "While Sweden has long taken pride in its public healthcare
system, lengthening queues" and retrieve over 500 sources

Wrong.
We have choice but many Americans go without care

Obviously it's by CHOICE because the care is there for them to get if
they wanted it.

So Americans have CHOICE just as you say Swedes have.

Not everyone is covered by those programs.

..
AliASS

ALL Americans over 65 and ALL disabled Americans are eligible for
medicare, AliASS, where government pays the provider for healthcare
services direct.

Medicard is available to all of the poor under certain income levels,
AliASS. Some just don't bother to apply because they know they won't
be deprived the care EMTALA (below) provides.

EMTALA covers EVERYONE walking though the doors of medical facilities
including illlegal aliens where medical care cannot be denied
regardless of ability to pay in accordance with federal law, AliASS.
