Default Trip to Victoria and Nanaimo

Diane Hirsch wrote:
We are planning to spend three nights on Vancouver Island in July (as
part of a two week trip to Seattle, the Olympic peninsula, Victoria,
and Vancouver.) We are not sure whether to spend all three nights in
Victoria, or whether we should spend two nights in Victoria and one
night in Nanaimo. If we spent the third night in Nanaimo, we would be
there during the bathtub race. Is that event worth going to?

Maybe you should think about going back to Vancouver via the Little
River - Powell River ferry.

I did it and really liked it.
