# So, an original possible war crime - invasion of Iraq in defiance of UN -
is now justified by its results?
And is putting a bit of paper into the magic box, a guarantee of
"democracy"? Or, is a compliant regime, and lots of folk on US payroll,
more an indicator of neo-colonial status? Have the oil revenues now been
tied up, and can US troops be safely withdrawn?
The US is good at trashing small countries - it proves you are a Great
Power. But that's the easy bit. If you invade you still have to get out
again, and what will happen when the US leaves Iraq and Afghanistan - the
"Terrorists" are merely biding their time?
Every nation is entitled to go to hell in its own way, and if Israel is
free to do as it pleases, then why not other nations - or is internal
genocide, oppression, and ethnic cleansing, a matter of universal public
concern? If so, then be consistent about it.
Putting a bit of paper in a box is preferable to putting a bullet into
your neighbour, but let's not get too excited about it. Plutocracy rules,
OK?
