Road maps California
Does anyone know any good road maps of Northern California? I heard
about the Thomas guides, are they any good? Looked on their website, but it doesn't even mention the scale! |

Thomas Guides are wonderful, but if you are a member of an automobile
club, you may be able to get free roadmaps from the California AAA. DKM On Sat, 20 Mar 2004 12:36:40 GMT, Jocab wrote: Does anyone know any good road maps of Northern California? Thomas Guides are very detailed, but also very bulky. Mine is over 3 pounds. Scale is 1" = 1900'. The AAA maps are better for tourists. |

If you're not a member of an AAA-affilitated club, the same maps can usually be found for sale at local bookstores, etc. And the maps, particularly those published by the Auto Club of Southern California, are of very high quality. -- --- "I never had to pretend I felt the lyrics. Looked on their website, but it doesn't even mention the scale! You can get road maps at practically any gas station. But if you need detailed street level maps, you'll need the Thomas guides, which are probably also available from most bigger gas station mini marts. |
