Default TSA locks?

I received a notice in my bag that my luggage had been opened and inspected
which is fine but now my TSA locks show the red dot as they should and not
the green dot. How does one re-set the locks to green or can one?
TIA

Close them, re-open them with the combination and re-close them. They
should re-set.

That doesn't work either. Could they have broken the lock?

On my TSA locks you open it, turn the shackle 180 degrees and
press it in. That resets the dot.
