Crimexpossouthafrica.co.za is a sensationalist webiste with a
political agenda. It is not in their interest to report that the vast majority of tourists to South Africa hava a fantastic, safe time. There is an unacceptably high crime rate in the country, but it is nowhere as hellish as Neil Watson would have us believe. My mother and I toured much of the Western Cape without incident. Stay out of the townships unless you have a guide.
