Permits are bought from the National Parks mob, and Fraser Island is owned by the State apart from a few small pieces under private ownership or lease. Peter |

Fraser island is being closed to individual travellers coming on the island
approx 80% of the island is already closed I was on the island the last 2 days and found the access to Champaign pools closed and the upper end of Eli creek supposedly "tempora closed" but I have never seen national parks reopen anything after a tempory closure but since last xmas camping at lake McKenzie , Dilli village and Indian head has closed and more sections of the main beach and they announced aprox 2 years ago that hook point would close in 2004 and there isn't much of 2004 left "Simon DOLBY" wrote in message ... Dunno why a brumby watch mob are 'advertising' permits anyway... to my knowledge, brumbies are considered a pest on the island's great sandy national park. |
