Posting Guidelines for alt.travel.uk-air
This is a regular FAQ normally posted on the 1st. of each month.
--==*- -*==-- INTRODUCTION Welcome to the unmoderated newsgroup, alt.travel.uk.air. This newsgroup is intended for the discussion of all matters relating to commercial air travel as it affects the United Kingdom or UK passengers. As this is a UK newsgroup all posts should be in the English language but postings are welcome from any part of the world. All such posts must be in plain text. Posting in HTML or the posting of binaries is not allowed. No commercial advertising or messages which just point to a commercial web site are permitted in this newsgroup. ACCEPTABLE POSTINGS * Any posts that discuss issues regarding UK air travel are welcome providing they don't fall within the unacceptable list. * Posts pointing to non-commercial aviation web sites. UNACCEPTABLE POSTINGS * Commercial advertising of any kind. * Anything non air travel related. Postings and web site pointers should be 100% air travel. * Posts on military or private aviation. * Anything inflammatory mentioning Race, Colour Creed, Gender or Sexual Orientation. * Post with contain profanity or inflammatory remarks. In other words no flaming. * Posts which quote off topic subject or signature files * Resumes or CVs * Accommodation to rent, let or buy. * Commercial services such as taxis, hire cars, hotels etc * Online auctions or advertisements * Surveys of any nature. * Post about countries/districts that are not air travel related. This would include for example pointers to a web site about a particular area such as the Lake District, but a web pointer to an Edinburgh Airport site would be permitted. This is a family newsgroup read by both adults and children. Action will be taken against posters of adult orientated material - which should not be posted here anyway. There are many people posting in the newsgroup who work in the travel trade. But unless they have specified to the contrary they post here in a private capacity and DO NOT represent the views of the organisations they work for, nor should their views be taken to be representative of those organisations. Posters are asked to snip messages they are replying to, as appropriate, and not to repeat multiple lines of text with just an odd line or two of new comment added. ------------------------------------------------------ www.uk-air.net Posting Guidelines & FAQs for, useful information from, the alt.travel.uk.air newsgroup |
