Mexican Gang Beheadings Dumped In A Locale To Scare The Tourists Away?
It appears so: Why?
My SPECULATIVE opinion: The (drug) gang(s) is seemingly trying to intimidate the authorities &/ or business establishments to laissez faire illegal drug smuggling/ dealing activity The major economic benefactor tourist industry is seemingly being terrorized-warned that it's existence is at risk by gangsterism I am sickened by what I perceive as being reality, as I've been there as a tourist several times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle4636533.ece |

I vacation in Mexico twice a year as an owner at one of the Mexican-owned resort companies. Most of those are either adjacent to areas like Los Cabos or Cancun and hours away from sketchier places like Mexico City. Anybody who's been in Mexico much will tell you that for YEARS, there has been tons of corruption on the state level in Mexico. Along with conquering the drug cartels that control Mexico City and other areas, this corruption is what Calderon is hoping to address. That's why federal police have taken over policing duties from states in many areas across the country. State cops in Mexico get paid almost nothing and thus are often quite corrupt. Why are they (the drug gang) seeemingly deiberately placing their victims' remains in the way or route (as per reported) to a Mayan tourist attraction (ruins) ? I interpret that in itself as a kind of threat, a perception from reading between lines of which I am hopefully off-base (wrong) Cancun seems to have enough tsoris ( trouble) with the weather, economic-financial changes, competition, et cetera President Calderon seems to be a good guy with nearly impossible political-economic demands on him The amazing Mexican immigrant workers in th U.S. prove to me that the hard working folk deserve better, while the upper class seems unwilling/unable to make their politiical-economic system good enough to keep the ambitious productive population in the country. In this recession & the nasty-complex political situation, it is tragic to observe these family-destructive immigration raids in the U.S. The Mexican establishments should get a clue: Mexico seemingly has great potential to be ...bougeoise. |
