visa requirement for west caribbean cruise
Hi, I recently booked a cruise (princess) trip to west caribbean, but so
far no one from the cruise company can tell me whether I need visas for those countries to be visited. Could any one help me out on this ? Thanks a lot !! BTW, I am not a U.S. citizen, nor permanent resident. I have Taiwan passport. Your help will be greatly appreciated. David |

I would probably start with the embassies of the countries either in DC or New York City (The UN embassies would at least know who to send you to for more information). There is a listing of consulates and embassies of other countries in the US at http://usembassy.state.gov/. I would probably also check in with your local office of Immigration just to make sure there is nothing specific you have to do to get READMITTED to the US. I have Taiwan passport. 1 - You should contact the embassy of the countries involved, remembering that islands that are still colonies of European powers, like France, the UK, and Holland are covered by those countries embassies. 2 - You should make certain of your re-entry status to the USA. The general procedure is that the ship knows of all of the non-US citizens on the ship and all of them must meet with US ICE on board the ship and then are taken through the system first, before the general (ultra light) inspection is openned for everyone. 3 - US customs exemptions do not apply. |
