Cathy & Bill, Not sure exactly what the laundry arrangement would be, having never done a bus tour, but I would suggest not bringing more than perhaps two smaller suitcases worth of clothes. Perhaps another smallish bag for some incidentals that might hold a day bag, toiletries, souvenirs, etc. I manage to fit about 6-7 full outfits including two sports coats in a 25" roller. This would put you washing about once a week. This would be reasonable, and bringing a suitcase large enough to hold 10 days, for instance, just doesn't make sense. This should really be the MAX. You could certainly go smaller but then you'd have to increase the frequency of how often you wash. Keith Pittsburgh |

I may have mentioned this before but outdoors stores like REI and Hudson's Trail sell rather expensive underwear that really does dry in couple of hours meaning that only two sets are needed. Clothes to bring
Good advice above. We've been to Europe many times (but not as long as
32 days. Longest trip was 21 days). With regard to what you think you will need, my advice is bring half as many clothes and twice as much money as you think you will need. We've (my wife and I) have only brought a 20# bag each on the way over. We plan on doing laundry and if we need something, we go but it in a local store LIKE THE LOCALS WOULD. We're not in Antarctica here. And, if you need something and buy it...it becomes a souvenir. Bought a sweatshirt in a small French town because it was cold that evening....and it's my favorite sweatshirt. I think if that store every time I put it on. Clothes to bring
Exactly; less is more.
Long sleeve cotton shirt, hip short sleeved silk shirt, waterproof hooded jacket, nice black jeans, 'travel' khaki pants with zip off legs, light nylon/spandex trainer pants, lined nylon sleeping/swimming shorts, good quality black 'walking' athletic shoes, nice looking black loafers you can walk in, flippers or swimming 'shoes' (haven't decided yet), two bandanas, four pair underwear, two pair black full sox and four pair white athletic half sox, one medium sized thin cotton towel, Some suitable combination of the above worn most of the time...g Not generally/hopefully worn items include a cheap/disposable clear poncho and a mylar 'survival blanket'. Sixty-One Days worth; general weekly laundry and I don't expect to buy anything from the waist down as usual... Tim K "Doug" wrote in message ... Good advice above. Clothes to bring
Not generally/hopefully worn items include a cheap/disposable clear
poncho and a mylar 'survival blanket'. After using one of those tiny mylar survival blankets for real once (getting benighted in the open in Skye in autumn) I decided not to bother again. They may work if you can tape them round a comatose body, but if wrap it around yourself, you will tear it to shreds if you move in your sleep. The aluminized plasticized fabric things (many times the weight and bulk) do work. ============== j-c ====== @ ====== purr . demon . co . uk ============== Jack Campin: 11 Third St, Newtongrange EH22 4PU, Scotland | tel 0131 660 4760 http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack/ for CD-ROMs and free | fax 0870 0554 975 stuff: Scottish music, food intolerance, & Mac logic fonts | mob 07800 739 557 |

So what are the entitlements of being a Druid Knight in Skye...?
