12 days with only carry-on

We may take a chance and fly with only a backpack and personal bag. We
would have to wear the same outer clothing every day. We could buy a
few tee shirts there and throw underwear out at the end of trip and
replace with new tee shirts in the backpack. It would be a different
adventure than we're used to. They say ok to a ladies purse on board
but dont mention a men's purse. I'm not going to wear layers because i
was told it looks suspicious. I cant wait to go now. I am leaving sun.

I've just returned from a 33 day trip to Spain......with just hand luggage.

In my small backpack I had

1 pair long black trousers
1 Pair shorts
5 tops
1 cardi
1 Long skirt
1 Bikini
1 Swimsuit
1 Sarong
1 sunhat
1 pair beach shoes
2 Changes of Undies
1 Paromo Towel
1 Handbag plus other bits and pieces like concentrated washing
liquid, sun cream etc ( decanted into 100 ml bottles)


I also had my lightweight "Body Glove" laptop/courier bag in which was my
laptop and leads, phone, MP3, camera and chargers etc, 2 paperbacks

I travelled in Jeans and took a waterproof jacket

The secret is to take items that will mix and match

I've never had any trouble traveling with only carry-on luggage. Most
places in the world have either inexpensive laundry service or
self-service laundries (or you can wash underwear in the sink). You
still will have room for a few rolled up shirts and one extra pair of pants.
