Bring your own food? Delta A/L
Hi group.
Have not been flying in a few years and would like to know if I, now days, should bring my own sandwich and drink? can you? A friend told me that I may get a bag of peanuts. I'm going by Delta A/L from Miami- Salt Lake City- Sacramento and return same route. Do I get something to eat onboard or how is it now days? I don't see any "M" for meals, on my itinerary. I may be able to get something in Salt Lake City, the stay is about one hour, between flights, there. Any info. and help will be appreciated. Thanks. BN |

But your food will be a small bag of something and a /snack/ box which is 1/2 of a stale sandwich. We bought a sub-sandwhich at a Quiznos stand in the terminal and took it on board. The flight attendant was envious. Check out the in-flight services for your flight # at www.delta.com. |

Bring your own food? Delta A/L
Future to the back:
I dunno if it's now done on some U.S. airplanes nowadays; but I vaguely recall that softdrinks, coffee & sandwiches were sold from carts on U.S. passenger trains. Perhaps it's still customary on the railroads. There were dining-cars; tho I vaguely recall food-peddling in the coaches too. As for brown-bagging food onto planes: Well, nothing tastes as good as...food when hungry. I'd say anything/everything, especially stuff that smells-up the plane so that semi-starving passengers are so envious they'll not again forget stopping at the Whopper the next time. I suppose it's a very rude/crude thing--eating while others are panging--and thus why can't the airlines also now have available in galley warmer/freezer semi-stale sandwiches for sale too. 50 cents per would not be unreasonable/excessive; but they'll probably mark 'em up to $2--$3 a la Disneyworld exploitation of the peanut butter 'n jelly, though I have not been back to Orlando in at least 20 years because to h with waiting in lines and especially if the kids are married and have their own kids to get fleeced at Orlando after parking at Goofy, Pluto, or Sleepy and wait for a tram. The Australian airline Jetstar is like that. |

Delta has no meal service in economy domestically. On segments over 3 1/2
hours, they sell sandwiches - if your MIA-SLC segment is nonstop that's what you can expect. wrote in message ... Hi group. The Australian airline Jetstar is like that. That's interesting. Since the Airlines stopped food service, most announce to bring your own. Does Jetstar still serve food? I could understand the rule if they still served food on flights, or maybe *sold* food on flights. |
